Big Dog Mom help:

Like many large and giant breeds dogs, her 1st instinct is to guard: people, animals or property.

Rosie being “reactive”, takes everything more seriously. Presa mom Amanda explains. She is even more guarded, suspicious and because they are so independent as a breed, she wants to decide when the situation is safe, not take my word for it. Same for training, so it takes a strong, dominant hand to convince them YOU are the leader.

Off leash and off duty, Rosie at 4 years is playful and loving at home, more so than some of the other big dog breeds Amanda has had. “Rosie feels deeper, more intensely. Because we don’t have kids, we can work with her reactive behavior versus a family. The reactive personality most likely came from not being socialized adequately as a puppy, she was the last of the litter when we got her at 4 months. But on average”, Rosie’s mom explains, “Presa Canarios are beautiful, affectionate and loyal family members”.
